What is Social Media?

There is a lot of talk about Social Media. But what exactly is Social Media?
Simply said Social Media is people having conversations online, in online forums, communities, social networks and blogs. Social Media is defined by the millions of conversations taking place on the web each day, and the art of how they are implemented.

How can you as a Buzzador use Social Media?

It is not really any big difference to buzz online than eye to eye, the difference is that with social media you reach more people than you do in a regular conversation.

You can use any social media you want when you buzz a campaign. However, what is important to remember is to say that you are a Buzzador – that you get the chance to test new products and services. All you need to do is tell about it to friends and family and create nice meetings surrounding the product or service.

Below are some tips on types of social media you can use as a Buzzador, and how you can use them. You can also ask other Buzzadors for tips on how to buzz through social media via our fanpage.

Blog

Tell about the product or service with both factual information and your own perceptions. It is important to keep a dialog as well as your friends and blog visitors get to try the product or service themselves.

For example you can organise a competition if there are physical products as a price. If it is a digital campaign you can hand out try-yourself-links or similar. Don’t forget to mention that you are a Buzzador and what it means.

BuzzadorBLOG

Now you can update your blog with a logotype for BuzzadorBLOG. The logo shows that you are a Buzzador and calculates how many visitors you have. It is a good function for you who are curious how many you have buzzed to through your blog. It is also important if you want to be involved in future BuzzadorBLOG campaigns where the entire buzz will happen online.

Instructions: Log in as a Buzzador and click the BuzzadorBLOG-tab. Choose wich BuzzadorBLOG-logo you want to use n your blog and enter your blogs URL, click "send". Copy the auto-generated code and paste it on your blog.

You will find additional instructions for various blog-platforms further down that same page.

Facebook

On Facebook you can talk about a campaign and for example post on your wall that you at the moment trying a certain product and what you think about it. You can mention that you have samples to hand out, upload pictures when you and your friends test for example a new food product or talk to you friends how white your teeth are after been using a certain toothpaste for a few days.

By talking about the product or service, both with facts and own perceptions, you create a discussion with your friends – in the same way as if you were talking to them face to face. Don’t forget to mention that you are a Buzzador and what it means.

Twitter

On Twitter you can make a tweet and talk about the product or service, both with factual information and your own perceptions. You can for example tweet from a dinner party where you and your friends test a new cooking product, from the massage table in a spa or at home from the own bath tub. Don’t forget to mention that you are a Buzzador and what it means.

Don’t forget to use the hashtag #buzzador when you write a tweet. The hashtags help categorise the content and is a kind of label that connects your tweet to others that also tweet about the same thing. If you click on a hashtag somewhere in a message, all the tweets will be shown from that category.
